Winter message of Community and Gratitude
As we transition from the vibrant colors of fall to the serene beauty of winter, let’s take a moment to appreciate the warmth of our families, friends, and neighbors during this season of good spirits. We are truly fortunate to call the Oaks our home, a place enriched by the countless activities and events organized by our dedicated volunteers. Their generosity in sharing their time and talents allows us to come together, laugh, play, and create lasting memories.
This winter, I encourage each of you to reflect on how you can contribute to our community. Consider starting a new activity or event that draws on your unique skills and experiences. Many of us have valuable insights and knowledge from our professional lives; let’s tap into that wealth and share it with our neighbors. If you’re already involved in a committee or activity, think about how you can extend your support. Remember, no one is expected to take on a full-time role; even a small commitment of time can make a big difference. With some residents heading south for the winter, we especially welcome our New Bees to step up and lend a hand. Your participation will not only lighten the load for others but will also bring you joy as you see the smiles on everyone’s faces.
We would also like to take a moment to recognize the hard work of our Board, who have tirelessly advocated for our community. Their efforts have secured another 25 years of the Pilot Program, ensuring significant property tax reductions that will benefit us all in the years ahead.
As we prepare for the colder months, please remember to winterize your vehicles, checking that your tires are properly inflated and ready for the season. Additionally, don’t forget to schedule your Flu and Covid booster shots after consulting with your primary physician.
Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season and a Happy, Healthy 2025! Let’s embrace this winter together, fostering the spirit of community and support that makes the Oaks such a wonderful place to live.
