The Gad Abouts Are Back In Town Edit page

We are happy to announce that The Gad-Abouts had their first event in a very long time, and, and may I add, it was a huge success.

The popular ladies group met at Chat Noir in Rockville Center. The teas and food were delicious and plentiful. There were prizes to win and in addition to that everyone took a bag home that contained a beautiful stemless wine glass loaded with goodies. We got a chance to chat with our neighbors and other shareholders who we don't get to see often. Thanks to Claudia Carpenter and Bobbi Edelson for taking on this task. We had a great time.

In the past, ladies of the Oaks would step up and host an event so that The Gad-Abouts would be active for ten months of the year. Some of the ladies would get a partner to help them. Many of the original members were very active however, it is now their turn to sit back and enjoy. You see where I'm going with this. That means it is our turn to step up. We have many new members now. It is a great way to meet everyone. All it takes is an idea, where to go, whether it be out to eat or see a local play. 

Let's keep The Gad-Abouts going strong.  Grab a partner, come up with something to do that sounds interesting and fun.  After you figure it out, contact Claudia  (516-826-8166) or Bobbi (516-637-1707).

The Gad-Abouts is for ladies who live at the Oaks. If you are interested in becoming a member, you are more than welcome to do so. Membership is $5.00.
