THE OAKS GOLF CLUB        

The Oaks Golf Club is like a social club that plays golf.  You do not need to be a good golfer to join our club.

You can play 9 holes or 18 holes whichever you prefer.

The Oaks Golf Club meets every Wednesday morning at 8 AM in the front of the clubhouse.

We have a tee time at Timber Point starting at 9 AM every Wednesday.

We make up different teams each week that play together which makes the game a lot of fun as we root for each other on our team.

Each golfer that plays that week puts in $5.00 for the team winners, etc. that day.

After golf we meet back at the clubhouse at 2PM for a meeting and some of us eat lunch.

We hand in the team score cards to see which team won a greenie.

We keep score by a point system. You get one point for a bogey, two points for a par, three points for a birdie and five points for an eagle. If you get a hole in one you win $100.00.

Dues are $10.00 per year and we establish handicaps for you according to the above point system.

Everyone is welcome to join the Oaks Golf Club. In fact we have members who do not live in the Oaks. Presently we have 30 golf members ranging in age from 62 to 88 years old.

We not only have fun every Wednesday we also have overnight golf outings plus a Christmas/holiday luncheon along with other luncheons each year with the wives and significant others joining us.
